Eugene
Teo
Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder

Eugene is the Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder of Shorea Capital. He is responsible for establishing the overall company strategy and driving business execution.
Prior to establishing Shorea Capital, Eugene spent over 20 years in the financial services industry with Standard Chartered Bank and Citigroup, holding various senior leadership roles in investment banking and corporate banking. He was most recently at Frasers Property Limited as Executive Vice President for their business advisory division.
Eugene graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics.
Eng Yaw

Co-Founder and Managing Director, Real Estate

Eng Yaw is the Co-Founder and Head of the Real Estate unit at Shorea Capital. He oversees the operations of Shorea Capital and is responsible for the Group’s business development and investment activities in the real estate industry.
Eng Yaw built his career in the financial services industry specifically in corporate finance and in real estate investments and management. He has over 25 years of experience in banking and real estate investments in Singapore and the UK.
Eng Yaw has held executive roles at OCBC Bank, DBS Bank, CIMB Group, and Parkway Life Real Estate Investment Trust. He currently also serves as a non-independent director at MTQ Corporation Limited and an independent director of Singapore Reinsurance Corporation Limited.
Eng Yaw graduated from the University College London with a Bachelor of Laws (Hon.) and also holds an MBA from INSEAD.
Siew Lian

Managing Director, Real Estate

Siew Lian is a Managing Director and has been with Shorea Capital since the inception of the firm in 2019. She is extensively involved in the redevelopment of a mixed-use site at the heart of Melbourne CBD and was entrusted with its heritage retention by a valued client.
A real estate veteran with more than 30 years of experience, Siew Lian has helmed various executive roles at listed real estate developer, Wing Tai Holdings. Apart from being involved from acquisition to out to market / sale / lease, strategic disposal and active GDV management, she also oversaw the Group’s commercial & hospitality asset management, refurbishment and asset enhancement initiatives. She helped the Group navigate through various challenging market cycles during her career.
Siew Lian graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Science degree in Estate management. In 2008, she completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
Adam
Starr
Managing Director, Real Estate

Adam is a Managing Director for Shorea Capital’s UK buiness. He oversees investments and asset management and is responsible for the Group’s UK real estate business development.
Adam is a real estate veteran with over 30 years of experience in the real estate sector in the UK and Continental Europe. Prior to joining Shorea, Adam was with Redeveco for more than 22 years and had held various leadership roles including managing director of its Central and Eastern Europe operations and managing director of its UK business where he established Redevco’s investment management platform with its first two external mandates. He was most recently head of global transaction management at Redevco, responsible for all investment activities in UK and the wider European market.
Chin Lin

Chin Lin is the Managing Director for Shorea Advisors, the investment and wealth management arm of Shorea Capital. He leads the Wealth management unit that holistically assesses clients’ needs and helps them position for the future amidst the changing financial landscape.
Prior to joining Shorea Capital, Chin Lin spent 25 years at Citi, where he held multiple senior roles and amassed extensive experience across the different areas of wealth management.
Chin Lin is a Chartered Financial Analyst. He graduated from Nanyang Technological University with a Bachelor of Business degree in Financial Analysis. He also holds a Master of Science in Wealth Management from Singapore Management University.

Kuan Cheung
Sin
Managing Director, Investments

KC is the Managing Director of the Investments unit at Shorea Capital. He leads a team that offers investment research, advisory, strategy and portfolio management, across equities to alternative opportunities, ranging from well-established companies to start-ups.
KC has close to two decades of analytical expertise in institutional investment.
He is currently the investment adviser to CSOP iEdge S-REIT Leaders Index ETF.
He was the Asia Portfolio Manager under JLP Asset Management LLC, a global real estate equity fund manager. Between 2007-2014, he was a senior research analyst with EII Capital Management Inc., when the investment team managed over US$10 billion of AUM, winning accolades for their global and ex-US real estate equity funds at the Lipper Fund Awards in 2009 and 2012. Between 2005-2007, His expertise also extends deep into capital markets, honed through investment research roles at Citigroup Singapore.
KC graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. He also holds a Master of Science in Financial Engineering from Nanyang Technological University.
Arthur

Chief Financial Officer & Chief Operating Officer

Arthur is the Chief Financial & Operating Officer of Shorea Capital. He is responsible for capital management, fund setup and reporting to investors.
Arthur started his career with KPMG Singapore and has over 20 years of leadership experience covering accounting, wealth management, auditing, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, taxation, treasury and financial planning.
Prior to joining Shorea Capital, Arthur was Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of a large single-family office with an AUM exceeding S$3 billion invested across various asset classes. He has also spent 15 years working and living in China and India as a CFO in tech and real estate industries.
Arthur is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
In 2008, he completed the CFO Programme from China-Europe International Business School.
Brian

Brian is a Senior Vice President for Shorea Advisors and is part of the Investments team at Shorea Capital, offering investment research, advisory, strategy and portfolio management, across equities to alternative opportunities.
Brian has over 20 years of research, investment and fund management experience in real estate securities. He previously worked in the sell-side team at Citigroup and Morgan Stanley.
Prior to joining Shorea Advisors, he was a co-founder of a proptech business and an early wage advance business. He has a keen interest in technology startups and has invested personally in over 30 startups.
Brian is a Chartered Accountant and graduated from Imperial College London with a Bachelor of Engineering.
Albert

Albert is a Vice President for Shorea Advisors and is part of the Investments team at Shorea Capital, offering investment research, advisory, strategy and portfolio management, across equities to alternative opportunities.
Albert has over 16 years of experience and have held research, investment and fund management positions in both direct and listed real estate.
Prior to joining Shorea Capital, he was an investment analyst Perennial Investment Partners for four years and spent three years as an associate at Brookfield Asset Management.
Albert graduated from Northwestern University with a double major in Chemical Engineering and Economics. He also holds a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University.
Anna

Anna is the Vice President responsible for client services in Shorea Wealth Management, the wealth management arm of Shorea Capital.
Before joining Shorea Capital, Anna spent over 15 years in the wealth management industry with Citi Private Bank, Bank Julius Baer, HSBC and UOB.
Anna is a seasoned client service professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Due to her promptness, accuracy in administrative tasks, and friendly demeanour, Anna has earned numerous client service accolades and received heartfelt appreciation from clients.
Anna graduated from RMIT, SIM with a Bachelor of Business degree.
Jia Hui

Jia Hui is a Vice President for Shorea Capital, and is part of a team that evaluates real estate investments opportunities across Singapore, Australia and London.
Prior to joining Shorea Capital, Jia Hui spent the last 4 years in the banking industry working on structured financing transactions for clients mainly in the commodities space.
Jia Hui is trained in applied mathematics and holds a Master of Science in Real Estate from National University of Singapore.
Yvonne

Head of Finance and Administration

Yvonne is currently Head of Finance and Administration of Shorea Capital. She assumes overall responsibility for the financial and tax reporting of the Group and the entities under our management.
Prior to joining Shorea Capital, Yvonne spent about 29 years doing auditing and accounting. She was a senior audit manager in one of the big four accounting firms in Singapore and was involved in various audits and special engagements of local and multinational companies in various industries. Yvonne moved on to Hwa Hong Corporation Limited in 2012 as a Chief Financial Officer and was responsible for the financial management of the Group, which covered accounting, tax, financial control, and reporting.
Yvonne is a Chartered Accountant of Singapore. She graduated from Nanyang Technological University with Bachelor of Accountancy degree. She also has a Master of Business Administration (Finance) from the University of Leicester.
Clarissa

Clarissa is an accountant at Shorea Capital and she keeps the full sets of books of the many entities in the Group, tax reporting and compliance of these entities.
Prior to joining Shorea Capital, Clarissa spent 9 years working in both the corporate and public accounting industry. She has worked with numerous businesses to develop comprehensive financial reporting tailored to their individual needs.
Clarissa graduated from the University of Wollongong with a Bachelor of Commerce in Business Finance and currently is pursuing Singapore Chartered Accountant Qualification.
Zulaikha

Corporate Secretarial Officer

Zulaikha is the corporate secretarial officer of Shorea Capital and ensures that the entities in the Group compiles with relevant regulations.
Zulaikha has 18 years of corporate secretary experience and she has been with Hwa Hong Corporation Limited since 2007.
She is an associate member of Singapore Association of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.
